I have many incredible memories of warm summers spent on the lakes of Upstate New York. We would watch as the storms progressed from the far side of the lake to our shore, taking cover on the porch or, if we were at the beach, sheltered in the car until it blew over. I like to paint from a birds eye view, there is something spiritual about being above it all, soaring through the sky, drifting on the currents of air. My hope is to bring a feeling of peace and calm to the viewer, helping them to realize we are all guardians of our beautiful planet. This is one from deep in my subconscious. I grew up in a house that was well over 200 years old. It had a lot of character and many strange things occurred in this house. I often sensed there was a presence lurking nearby and was afraid to go to bed at night. I love to travel and in March, 2019, I went in search of the Northern Lights. Iceland was the most amazing, desolate, and extreme climate which I have ever experienced. I now understand how a person could die from exposure. It was however, spectacularly beautiful, changeable and the light had this incredible blue cast, reflecting off the snow. This snow covered peak, with icy silver swirls over looks a frozen landscape with soft, blurred mountains on the horizon line was inspired by my experiences on that trip. — Spring Thaw, oil on a brushed aluminum panel, 39″ x 39″, $5300

The crosswalk seems to melt while the traffic rushes by. Charred palm trees solemnly stand, observing the hazy twilight. Silver reflections dance across the wires and lights of this urban evening. Hopefully the pandemic has given us time to think about our own, personal legacy.

Fiordland National Park in New Zealand is an otherworldly place of infinite beauty. I have never seen as many waterfalls in one place as when I visited there. I wanted to capture the ancient feeling I had when visiting this land that seemed untouched by human beings. The aerial view is a favorite of mine. I hope to convey the feeling of gliding through the air towards the "Silver Lake", with the water flowing all around. This is one from deep in my subconscious. I grew up in a house that was well over 200 years old. It had a lot of character and many strange things occurred in this house. I often sensed there was a presence lurking nearby and was afraid to go to bed at night. My mom would leave the light on in her room to comfort me, which helped me to go to sleep at night. — “I’ll be right in the next room…which was never close enough after a nightmare”.
