Overton’s Cliffs of Carmel, oil on linen, 20″ x 20″, $1200 I became obsessed with Street Art on the platform of the LIRR. It was mid-afternoon, no one was there, and I wasn’t sure I was in the right place to go into Manhattan. A man approached and we started talking. He was “Solus” a street artist from Dublin Ireland who was in town to work with “The Bushwick Collective” on the murals in Brooklyn. This was a few years ago, before it became super popular. He was telling me about the murals he had planned for some walls in Manhattan and that he was invited to participate in “Art Basel” in Miami. At this point I thought he was telling some tall tales so when I got on the train I googled him. It was all true. I investigated the Bushwick Collective and my love of Street Art was born. Interpreting flowers in spray paint brings a modern edge to a traditional subject. The veils of color create softness and new colors, blending the edges and building a rich hue on the flat surface of the silver steel. In this piece, I experimented with masking, using cut out curves and edges to shield the panel while layering colors on top. “Moonlight Reflections”, oil on brushed aluminum, 27″ x 27″, SOLD Otherworldly Places Moonbeams, oil on brushed aluminum panel, 19″ x 15″, $975 “Red Sky at Night”, 24″ x 24″, oil on linen, $1700 “Heber Barn”, 14″ x 14″, oil on canvas, $600 Grandeur, oil on a brushed aluminum panel, 39″ x 51″, Sold Ablaze, oil on brushed aluminum, 27 x 51, $4100 Silvery Moon, Triptych, 48″ x 100″, oil on aluminum, Sold “Weeping Sky”, oil on aluminum, 51″ x 39″, Sold Southold Beach, 20″ x 20, $1400 Clair McCardell, American, 1929-38, 1940-58 Wasatch Fog, oil on white aluminum, 23″ x 23″, $1700 Looking into the Chaos, oil on aluminum, 27 x 27, $2500 Winter Beach #2, Oil on canvas, 14″ x 18″, $900 “Midnight Ride”, oil on brushed aluminum, 39″ x 51″, $6900 “Metamorphosis” $7000, in a Park City boudoir. “Pony Marsh #2, 11” x 14″+ frame, Sold “Metamorphosis”, acrylic spray paint on steel, 39″ x 51″, $6000 Trent Call’s Pussy Cat Vivian Westwood “Where There is Smoke, There is Fire” 16″ x 18″, oil on aluminum, $975.
