Summer Storm/Summer Storm Shadow $900 each, &Big Red, $6000, in a NYC apartment.

I used different sizes of brayers to lay down the initial indigo and abstract the mountains and roadside. The area in the upper right is sanded with steel wool to let the silver reflection show through, bringing reflective light as opposed to the clouds which are painted, splattered and dripped into place. This three panel painting depicts the Wasatch Mountains in moonlight. I live in Park City, Utah, and am lucky enough to look at this beautiful mountain range from my studio. Day or night, it is ever inspiring to see the magnificence of our planet. I love to travel and in March, 2019, I went in search of the Northern Lights. Iceland was the most amazing, desolate, and extreme climate which I have ever experienced. I now understand how a person could die from exposure. It was however, spectacularly beautiful, changeable and the light had this incredible blue cast, reflecting off the snow. This snow covered peak, with icy silver swirls over looks a frozen landscape with soft, blurred mountains on the horizon line was inspired by my experiences on that trip. — Spring Thaw, oil on a brushed aluminum panel, 39″ x 39″, $5300

I have many incredible memories of warm summers spent on the lakes of Upstate New York. We would watch as the storms progressed from the far side of the lake to our shore, taking cover on the porch or, if we were at the beach, sheltered in the car until it blew over. Hungry Peonies Devouring Berries

Soaring to new heights in a hot air balloon led to my fascination of painting from a bird’s eye view in my Mountains series. Cultures across the span of history have gravitated to the mountains for peace and clarity, as do I.

I spent about ten years in Westport, CT. Almost every day, I would head to Sherwood Island State Park, the oldest State Park in CT. It is a beautiful place and during the week, it doesn't get many visitors. It has a two lovely expansive, sand beaches on Long Island Sound, ruins of old farm houses, an orchard which must be from revolutionary times, wood and wetlands, (which make a wonderful bird sanctuary), and miles of paths to walk through it all. It is incredibly peaceful. The crosswalk seems to melt while the traffic rushes by. Charred palm trees solemnly stand, observing the hazy twilight. Silver reflections dance across the wires and lights of this urban evening. Hopefully the pandemic has given us time to think about our own, personal legacy.

This is one from deep in my subconscious. I grew up in a house that was well over 200 years old. It had a lot of character and many strange things occurred in this house. I often sensed there was a presence lurking nearby and was afraid to go to bed at night. Soaring to new heights in a hot air balloon led to my fascination of painting from a bird’s eye view in my Mountains series. Cultures across the span of history have gravitated to the mountains for peace and clarity, as do I.

This is one from deep in my subconscious. I grew up in a house that was well over 200 years old. It had a lot of character and many strange things occurred in this house. I often sensed there was a presence lurking nearby and was afraid to go to bed at night.
