“Sky Scrapers”, oil on brushed aluminum, 19″ x 15″, $975
I am all about finding different ways to release the silver from the panels in my work. The more abstract, the better! I find the reflections captivating and my imagination loves to flirt with the possibilities. In this piece I reveal the soft reflective quality of the panel through the layers of paint that are veiled with a solvent. The lower left corner grounds the piece, much like my painting, “Grounded”, but instead of the hatch marks finding their way to the light, it is the drips that take you to that peaceful resolution.
