Very cool abstract and inspires thoughts for my abstract hatch mark paintings. Moon over the NJ Shore #2 Playful Orange, 36″ x 48″ “Midnight Ride”, oil on brushed aluminum, 39″ x 51″, $6900 I became obsessed with Street Art on the platform of the LIRR. It was mid-afternoon, no one was there, and I wasn’t sure I was in the right place to go into Manhattan. A man approached and we started talking. He was “Solus” a street artist from Dublin Ireland who was in town to work with “The Bushwick Collective” on the murals in Brooklyn. This was a few years ago, before it became super popular. He was telling me about the murals he had planned for some walls in Manhattan and that he was invited to participate in “Art Basel” in Miami. At this point I thought he was telling some tall tales so when I got on the train I googled him. It was all true. I investigated the Bushwick Collective and my love of Street Art was born. Interpreting flowers in spray paint brings a modern edge to a traditional subject. The veils of color create softness and new colors, blending the edges and building a rich hue on the flat surface of the silver steel. In this piece, I experimented with masking, using cut out curves and edges to shield the panel while layering colors on top. Classic, amazing landscape. I love the distance and space created by all the light and dark thresholds. I will have to work this into my Road Noise series. “Tidal Pool”, 24″x24″, oil on linen, $1700 Celestial Rhapsody installed with my sunset series in this incredible New Mexico home. “Silver Lake”, 39″ x 27″, Oil on steel, $3700 Mindfulness Dancing Pine, oil on canvas, 10″ x 12″, $425 Smith Barn, Oil on canvas, 11″ x 14″, $550 The Kemper, Kansas City, MO Trent Call’s Traveler “Grey Sky at the Beach”, 8″ x 8″, oil on wood panel, $200 “First Snow”, 40″ x 40″, Oil on steel, $5600 “Beaver Creek Trail”, 21″ x 22″, oil on steel, $1400 Contrasts, 12″ x 12″ Sold Treasure Hollow, oil on brushed aluminum, 27″ x 33″,$2900 Autumn Wind by Hung Liu, Crystal Bridges Silver Road, oil on aluminum, 39″ x 39″, $5300 Under Construction.
