At this point I thought he was telling some tall tales so when I got on the train I googled him. It was all true. I investigated the Bushwick Collective and my love of Street Art was born. Trent Call’s Running Guy “Midnight Ride”, oil on brushed aluminum, 39″ x 51″, $6900 I became obsessed with Street Art on the platform of the LIRR. It was mid-afternoon, no one was there, and I wasn’t sure I was in the right place to go into Manhattan. A man approached and we started talking. He was “Solus” a street artist from Dublin Ireland who was in town to work with “The Bushwick Collective” on the murals in Brooklyn. This was a few years ago, before it became super popular. He was telling me about the murals he had planned for some walls in Manhattan and that he was invited to participate in “Art Basel” in Miami. At this point I thought he was telling some tall tales so when I got on the train I googled him. It was all true. I investigated the Bushwick Collective and my love of Street Art was born. Interpreting flowers in spray paint brings a modern edge to a traditional subject. The veils of color create softness and new colors, blending the edges and building a rich hue on the flat surface of the silver steel. In this piece, I experimented with masking, using cut out curves and edges to shield the panel while layering colors on top. “Lava Fields”, 38″ x 50″, Oil on Steel, Sold “Pony Marsh #2, 11” x 14″+ frame, Sold “Silver Falls”, 40″x 40″, Oil on steel, Sold Summer Storm Shadow, 15.5″ x 19.5″ etching ink on paper, $975 “Full Tilt”, 37″ x 39″, oil on aluminum, $5100 Wasatch Back, oil on brushed aluminum, 27″ x 51″, Sold Summer Storm, 24″ x 36″ unframed, Oil on canvas, Sold “Going Home”, 13″ x 15″, oil on canvas, $725 Twilight 48th Street, oil on canvas, 18″ x 24″, $1300 Gallery wall detail of Celestial Rhapsody and my sunset paintings! “Half Moon Bay”, 24″ x 24″,oil on linen, $1700 3rd Floor Mural at China Bridge, Park City 2018 “Frost”, oil on aluminum, 19″ x 15″, $975 “Vertigo”, 24″ x 36″, oil on steel, Sold Dreamscape, oil paint on a brushed aluminum panel, 27″ x 27″, Sold Moonbeams, oil on brushed aluminum panel, 19″ x 15″, $975 Earth Day Clean Up, before… “Silver Ridgelines”, 38’x 39″, oil on aluminum, Sold Mountain Triptych, panel 3 of 3, 24″ x 48″, Oil on aluminum “First Snow”, 40″ x 40″, Oil on steel, $5600 “Devil’s Den”, 30″ x 34″, oil on natural linen, $3000 “Silver Lake”, 39″ x 27″, Oil on steel, $3700 The Road Less Traveled, oil on canvas 36″ x 72″, $7800 Trent Call’s Couple out on the Town Firestorm, oil on brushed aluminum, 27″ x 51″, Sold Marie Cutoli -French Spokes Carmen and me at the Stricoff Gallery during Armory Show Week in 2018.
