Beautiful arial shot of Miami Beach, Florida Kaleidoscope, oil on aluminum panel, 39″ x 39″, $5300 I became obsessed with Street Art on the platform of the LIRR. It was mid-afternoon, no one was there, and I wasn’t sure I was in the right place to go into Manhattan. A man approached and we started talking. He was “Solus” a street artist from Dublin Ireland who was in town to work with “The Bushwick Collective” on the murals in Brooklyn. This was a few years ago, before it became super popular. He was telling me about the murals he had planned for some walls in Manhattan and that he was invited to participate in “Art Basel” in Miami. At this point I thought he was telling some tall tales so when I got on the train I googled him. It was all true. I investigated the Bushwick Collective and my love of Street Art was born. Interpreting flowers in spray paint brings a modern edge to a traditional subject. The veils of color create softness and new colors, blending the edges and building a rich hue on the flat surface of the silver steel. In this piece, I experimented with masking, using cut out curves and edges to shield the panel while layering colors on top. “Delphinium”, acrylic spray paint on steel, 51″x 39″, $7250 Mountain Triptych, panel 2 of 3, 24″ x 48″, Oil on aluminum, $7000 Frost, oil on aluminum, 19″ x 15″, $975 “Red Sky at Night”, 24″ x 24″, oil on metal “Silver Lining” in a San Francisco Bay area home. “Spiraling Flora” in a Deer Valley home. “Weeping Sky”, oil on aluminum, 51″ x 39″, Sold “Silver Ridgelines”, 38’x 39″, oil on aluminum, Sold January Eye Lava Road, 36″ x 51″, oil on steel, $6400 Smith Barn, Oil on canvas, 11″ x 14″, $550 Snakes and Snails “Silver Lining”, 41″ X 41″, oil on steel, Sold Big Red, acrylic on steel, 39″ x 51″, $72500 “Metamorphosis” $7000, in a Park City boudoir. “Half Moon Bay”, 24″ x 24″,oil on linen, $1700 Helgafellssveit, Western Iceland, Iceland “Silver Falls”, 40″x 40″, Oil on steel, Sold Through the Storm, oil on brushed aluminum panel, 51 x 63 $10,500 Morning Ride in Wilton, oil on linen, 24″ x 30″, $2200 Promontory Home Installation, Park City, Utah!
