View From The Shed, 20″ x 24″ + frame, Sold Vortex I became obsessed with Street Art on the platform of the LIRR. It was mid-afternoon, no one was there, and I wasn’t sure I was in the right place to go into Manhattan. A man approached and we started talking. He was “Solus” a street artist from Dublin Ireland who was in town to work with “The Bushwick Collective” on the murals in Brooklyn. This was a few years ago, before it became super popular. He was telling me about the murals he had planned for some walls in Manhattan and that he was invited to participate in “Art Basel” in Miami. At this point I thought he was telling some tall tales so when I got on the train I googled him. It was all true. I investigated the Bushwick Collective and my love of Street Art was born. Interpreting flowers in spray paint brings a modern edge to a traditional subject. The veils of color create softness and new colors, blending the edges and building a rich hue on the flat surface of the silver steel. In this piece, I experimented with masking, using cut out curves and edges to shield the panel while layering colors on top. “Tidal Pool”, 24″x24″, oil on linen, $1700 Through the Storm, oil on brushed aluminum panel, 51 x 63 $10,500 “Half Moon Bay”, 24″ x 24″,oil on linen, $1700 Spokes “Full Tilt”, 37″ x 39″, oil on aluminum, $5100 Georgiana, 10″ x 12″, oil on canvas, $400 A Giant’s View, 24″ x 36″ “Grounded”, oil on brushed aluminum, 19″ x 15″, SOLD “Calm Before the Storm”, oil on aluminum, 17″ x 19″, $1000 “Wildflower Meadow”, 24″ x 36″, oil on steel, $500 framed Crawling Under, oil on brushed aluminum, 19″ x 15″, $975 Going Up “Aqua Shots”, 21″x 21″, acrylic spray paint on steel, Sold Spirits Sandy Hook Memorial, acrylic spray paint on steel, 39″ x 51″. “Vertigo”, 24″ x 36″, oil on steel, Sold Southold Beach, 20″ x 20, $1400 Dancing Pine, oil on canvas, 10″ x 12″, $425 Sunlit Poppy Hotel Elfonso XIII, Seville, 18 x 24″ oil on canvas Elizabeth Hawes, American 1928-40 “Sunrise on the Wasatch Mountains” 19″ x 34″ “Day is Done”, oil on brushed aluminum, 15″ x 19″, $975 “Silver Snow”, 39″ x 51″, Oil on steel, Sold Shadow Woman – Patriot, oil on aluminum, 27″ x 27″, $2250 Summer Storm, 24″ x 36″ unframed, Oil on canvas, Sold Hotel Elfonso XIII, Seville, 18 x 24″ oil on canvas Sherwood Salt Marsh, 23″ x 29″, Oil on canvas, $1900, Work in progress “Silver Lake”, 39″ x 27″, Oil on steel, $3700 “Silver Ridgelines”, 38’x 39″, oil on aluminum, Sold Creeping Arachnids Eya- og Miklaholtshreppur, Western Iceland Midway, 16″ x 20″ Oil on canvas. “Carmen”, 40″ x 52″, acrylic spray paint on steel, $7250 Spiraling Fauna, 2015, 39 x 51, oil on steel, Sold Sand Island 18′ x 24″, oil on linen, $1300 Westport, oil on canvas, 12″ x 12″, $400 Morning Fog Lakeside View Louise Bourgeois, Maman Overton’s “Pony Marsh #2, 11” x 14″+ frame, Sold Promontory Home Installation, Park City, Utah! “Midnight Ride”, oil on brushed aluminum, 39″ x 51″, $6900 Delphinium, vertical, acrylic spray paint, 39″ x 51″, $7250 “Silver Lining”, 41″ X 41″, oil on steel, Sold Ribbons of Blue, oil on brushed aluminum, 27″ x 27″, SOLD Pillars in the Northern Sky, oil on brushed aluminum panel, 29 x 29, $2750.
