September, 39 x 51, oil on brushed aluminum panel, $6900 Twilight 48th Street, oil on canvas, 18″ x 24″, $1300 I became obsessed with Street Art on the platform of the LIRR. It was mid-afternoon, no one was there, and I wasn’t sure I was in the right place to go into Manhattan. A man approached and we started talking. He was “Solus” a street artist from Dublin Ireland who was in town to work with “The Bushwick Collective” on the murals in Brooklyn. This was a few years ago, before it became super popular. He was telling me about the murals he had planned for some walls in Manhattan and that he was invited to participate in “Art Basel” in Miami. At this point I thought he was telling some tall tales so when I got on the train I googled him. It was all true. I investigated the Bushwick Collective and my love of Street Art was born. Interpreting flowers in spray paint brings a modern edge to a traditional subject. The veils of color create softness and new colors, blending the edges and building a rich hue on the flat surface of the silver steel. In this piece, I experimented with masking, using cut out curves and edges to shield the panel while layering colors on top. “Sherwood Inverted”, 25″ x 37″, oil on steel, $3300 Otherworldly Places The Kemper, Kansas City, MO No Boundaries, oil on aluminum, 27″ x 27″, $2500 Carmel by the Sea, Sunset Kings Highway North, Oil on steel, 40″ x 30″, $3600 “Going Home”, 13″ x 15″, oil on canvas, $725 Fairfield Beach, 24″x 36″, oil on steel, sold “Moonlight Reflections”, oil on brushed aluminum, 27″ x 27″, SOLD “First Snow”, 40″ x 40″, Oil on steel, $5600 View From The Shed, 20″ x 24″ + frame, Sold Neon Rose, 36″ x 48″ unframed, Acrylic on steel, $350, California Snowbird Melting, oil on brushed aluminum panel, 51 x 51, $8750 “Whispers”, oil on aluminum, 39″ x 51″, $6900 “Midnight Ride”, oil on brushed aluminum, 39″ x 51″, $6900 “Summer Storm”, 15.5″ x 19.5″, etching ink on paper, $975 Lauren’s Rose, 38″ x 46″ Westport, oil on canvas, 12″ x 12″, $400 Rob Wynne, 2017, a newish acquisition, a whole series on poured mirrored glass.
