A contemporary mountain oil painting on metal panel by artist Cynthia McLoughlin
Witness to the Waking Stars, Triptych, oil on brushed aluminum, 3(28″ x 52″), $14,500

I have been back in the studio after my very successful travels to Wales to learn the ICM photography technique. It is super fun. I really like learning other ways to express myself through different mediums, it is like cross-training for my painting.

I have been busily working on a new website for all my photos and you will be able to purchase them right off my new site and they ship direct from the printer with loads of options for printing and framing that you can select from to really zero in on your home decor vibe! I am fine tuning everything and the last bit is calibrating my computer so the images so that they print match my vision.

I have a lot of new paintings in the works, here is the first of many. I haven’t done a triptych in awhile and this one was just waiting to happen. I also hope to do a larger version, huge actually, to make an impressive impact to pitch new venues.

My new vision taps into the unknown and the formation of my beliefs which has changed quite a bit with age. I want my viewer to contemplate this as well and explore the possibilities of what might be and how one can comfort one’s own restless soul.

In “Witness of the Waking Stars,” the timeless presence of the mountains meets the first breath of the cosmos. This ethereal triptych captures a moment suspended between worlds – where ridge-lines dissolve into the sky, and ancient peaks bear silent witness to the awakening of unseen realms.

Soft veils of light and shadow drift across the metal panels, echoing the passage of souls and the quiet murmur of forgotten memories. Through muted tones and luminous textures,  the work invites viewers to step beyond the visible horizon – to stand at the threshold where earth and spirit entwine.

Rooted in the mystical traditions of this shift in perspective, “Witness of the Waking Stars” embodies the tender space between what is seen and what is remembered – a place where time bends, and the stares begin to stir once more.

This piece will be available in The Summit Gallery mid May. Stop by to see it in person along with many more of my works. I am so grateful to have the support of such an amazing, eclectic, fine art gallery, right in downtown Park City, Utah. I hope you all will follow me on Instagram to see what I am up to when you are scrolling. Do it now so you don’t miss out on all the promotions and sales that are to come when I launch my new site. Most importantly, don’t forget to “Share” as much as you can. I really want to build my tribe this year and need your help to do it! Thanks so much.

Best,

Cynthia
