“The devil is in the details,” is a phrase we all have heard once or twice. When I am putting together a triptych, I try to make sure that all the panels can stand alone as well as work with the multi-paneled piece. This is one of the panels for the first mountain triptych I did a few months ago. I created the dreamy quality of the atmosphere on this panel to contrast with the textured detail of the center panel. The abstraction helps the viewer put their imagination to work and see what they can find.
