Today is the 6th anniversary of the tragedy that took place at the Sandy Hook Elementary school. I was living in Westport six years ago and it was so shocking to have something so incredibly tragic happen in a town so close to home. The event was hardly as commonplace as it has sadly become now. It touched my soul, I felt so connnected to the community and I wanted to honor the innocents in a positive way. I am glad that you found and appreciate my piece. My heart goes out to the victims families and friends tonight and always.
