Mountain Landscape Paintings
Cultures across the span of time have gravitated to the mountains for healing, inspiration, peace and clarity. Living with a view of the Wasatch Back in Park City, Utah, affords an endless array of inspiration for contemporary landscape artist Cynthia McLoughlin. In the morning, the sun often hits the peaks one by one as it rises. In winter, cold, snow-filled clouds envelop the range, completely hiding it from view. In summer, the peaks often hold their majestic heads over a low swath of fog that has settled into the valley below the massive mountain range. In McLoughlin’s contemporary mountainscape paintings, the reflective metal on which she paints adds light and movement to each original piece of fine art.
