I’m trying to build a better base and more ambiguity by painting over some of my less interesting paintings. This is a good example as it started out as a mountain scape. I followed the paint and it transformed before me into a seascape with frothy waves lapping in a series of tidal pools. The actual painting has much less yellow and more subtile colors. Unfortunately I have not perfected the art of digital photography and the colors don’t ring true when transferred to the computer. I will be submitting this one to Westport’s Art About Town show this spring. Stay tuned for details on the show.
