May in Utah can seem a lot more like what one would expect in March. Snowstorms are not uncommon, to the point that most seasoned folks out here don’t plant anything until after Father’s Day in June. I have gotten skunked a couple of times and now I follow that sage advice. The big stormy sky is always an inspiration and I am fascinated by how rapidly the weather can change. Snowstorm one minute and the sunburst breaks through the next. This painting captures that moment.
