I found a Street Art/Stencil Workshop at the Kimball Arts Center. It was for teens but the instructor was kind enough to let me join the class. It was really fun! We learned how to make wheat paste and used it to mount a self portrait on cardboard. We also cut multiple stencils and used them to create a single image, overlapping the colors. I learned a few short cuts, which was my intent, so it was a success! Here is my initial attempt using five different stencils that I cut to create a single image of my orchid. This piece is 8.5″ x 11″. I am excited to hone my new skills and add a new dimension to my floral series. Check it out on Main Street in Park City at the Center!
