A part of my storm series, “Silver Road” was inspired by a superstorm that blew into Park City, Utah on February 18th, 2016. The temperature dropped twenty degrees in five minutes when the storm overtook our town. The snow covered mountains and road are in relief, so the bright, silver metal reflects the light in the room and changes as you move around the piece.
I often leave a metal reveal around the boarder of my paintings which adds a metallic mat effect, that and the black box frame with a silver bead on the edges completes a clean, fresh boarder to finish the piece.
