Sky Scrapers

“Spin Art”, was one of my favorite toys growing up. It created works of art by spinning small cards on a platform while the user applied the liquid paints from squirt bottles, while the cards were spinning around at high speed. I wanted to recreate this method and try it with a monochromatic color wash in blues and greys. It didn’t quite work the way I expected it to but it made a contemporary, abstract effect in this original oil painting.
