Skating on the Bridge

Interstate Route 80 twists and turns on a monumental, mountainous slope. Careening over Parleys Pass, the trip down and through the mountains to Salt Lake City is not a long one. It is however, one of the most dangerous segments of highway in the United States. This Contemporary oil painting was inspired by the ride down the hill. The metal panel remains luminous through the veil of translucent oil paints used on this piece. The metal really makes these particular colors pop!
