November is a month of waiting for me. The trees have dropped their leaves, flurries start to fly but there is not yet an accumulation of snow for winter fun to begin. Lately, I have been experimenting with Tonalism. I have always been drawn to ethereal, atmospheric paintings and photographs, especially those with dramatic shifts from dark to light. There is something very spiritual about the mist and not seeing. Could it be a visual representation of faith? It certainly feels like the hand of a higher power sharing an ever-changing, sublime display in the western sky. I am lucky to be able to attempt to capture it and express how it makes me feel. My hope is to bring you on this journey of the wonder of nature with me.
