Mountain Triptych #1
This was a super fun project! Commissioned for clients of my good friend and amazing interior designer, Suzanne Geibel McCammon, it was the largest oil painting I had ever attempted at that time. She brought me up to the client’s spectacular mountain modern home and we walked around talking about her vision: the colors, light in the home, furniture and all things interior design. She needed an original contemporary painting for the dining room. We talked about the size and placement, I took a few photos of the space, and went back to my studio and got busy. Coming off First Snow, I was feeling a big mountain painting would be right. I was excited and showing Suzanne my progress of the almost finished painting. After her review, she too was super excited and couldn’t resist showing her clients. After that success, I decided to do a second triptych oil painting. It is similar to the first but more of a night scene and that became Silvery Moon Triptych.
