Full Tilt

Silver toned aluminum shines through the scrapes in the road and in the mottled effect in the sky in this contemporary oil painting. The transparent oil paints used in this piece make the metallic panel shimmer through the paint. The view is of one of my favorite mountains in Park City and can be found traveling south on route 40, just past the hospital. I have painted it time and time again, the crest is so different from the mountains I know from my life back east.
