Excelsior Geyser, Yellowstone

Yellowstone National Park is a gem among gems in our  National Parks system.  I was lucky enough to visit during the pandemic in 2020 for my first but not last visit. The inspiration was truly overwhelming.  I rose early each morning in order to see the elusive wild life but equally as amazing were the geysers. This is Excelsior, one of the many I saw and photographed for inspiration.  I have been working to progress my cloud paintings and this made for interesting fodder. Kind of like clouds painted sideways with the added mystery of mist and fog lifting as the morning sun warms the earth.
