I really liked the scale of “Lauren’s Rose” (below), one of the first of my floral series. I wanted to try it again using the neon brights that worked so well in “Delphinium.” Here is one of the variations. I find it interesting to see the transition from large painting to small screen—it’s kind of like looking in a mirror, as the imperfections seem to jump out at me. I do see a few things that I’d like to improve, but I like to post works in progress, so here it is.
