Neon!

Nostalgia strikes a chord in the heart of most people and the older one becomes, the more opportunity there is for this heart felt feeling.  The view from our new abode is rather spectacular in the day, shown below, but at night is when the real magic happens.  We overlook the sleepy little downtown of Orinda, California and the fabulous neon sign twinkles and  blinks wildly every night, enticing us to the spectacular entertainment within. According to Cinema Treasures,  “The Orinda Theatre opened on December 17, 1941 and was built by Donald Rheem. Slated for demolition in 1984, it was saved through the efforts of preservationists and reopened in 1989 as the center of the Theater Square Project — a retail/entertainment redevelopment project.”
