Mural at China Bridge!

When I moved back to NYC in 2014 and became super interested in Street Art, I set a goal for myself to paint a mural on a wall outdoors.  I moved to San Francisco and my art career took a different turn and although that goal was still out there, I had lost a bit of momentum, living in the suburbs. It was overwhelming and I didn’t really know where to start so it was put on the back burner for a bit.

Fast forward to a call for volunteers last weekend to help to paint a mural at China Bridge right here in little old Park City!  It was an incredible experience!  The artists had a wild flower theme and a technique that was very manageable to harness unskilled labor to cover a lot of ground, or wall as the case may be!  Emily Herr and her assistants, Moonie and Bridgette were incredibly informative about the whole process and I really feel like I could use this technique and do a large scale project with a group of volunteers!  The pictures above are the first stage in the process.   Stage two was brush work and details and stage three is the overlay of a mountain scape.  Stay tuned for pictures of the finished wall which should be done by the end of the week!
