I am getting ready to submit my entries into the Westport Arts Center Spring Solos Show. I wanted to put some things in that are a bit more atmospheric and am considering Moonshine for this show. I was inspired by one of my favorite artists, Terry Muira, for this painting. He did a study of cyprus trees and the colors he used were amazing. I wanted to capture a tranquil mood with the same palate. I’ve spent many an evening sitting out on a dock or floating in a boat in the middle of a lake, admiring the moon and the stars and the grand open sky. It always brings me peace and tranquility.

Beautiful and mysterious!
I\’ve never thought about it before, but there are many shades of blue that come out at night when the moon casts his light. We see it in the mountains on those moon lit nights that we exit the woods after dark. You see, the moon loves the Earth as a son loves his mother and the many blues that we see are his affection ,which you have captured in a wonderful way.
Simply beautiful. When I look at, I feel at peace. The moon is magical. Love it !!
