When I find a color palette I like, it is fun to make paintings that will hang together but be rather opposite in interpretation. Here is a great example, the abstract on the left, with all the drippy paint and silver running vertically and the horizontal, figurative painting on the right in the same hues. Both are the same size so they really complement each other but are totally different!
