Luminous Rhapsody came from a place in my soul that is in such obvious turmoil. It started as a misty blue cloudscape. I used the orange at first just hinting at the edges of the upward trail of clouds, so placid and non- confrontational, much like my always trying to please personality. Then a change in the music, a burst of outrage and the memory of my Firestorm painting started to take over. It was very distressed and incongruous and I sat with it a few days before deciding it needed a unifying factor to bring it back down. A violet glaze did the trick and I am super happy with the outcome. See it in person now Summit Gallery, 825 Main St. Park City, Utah.
